Sciopia is built so that the app does not collect, gather or transmit any personal data to us. There are no user accounts, no sign-in and no servers on which we store data about you.
Your settings (e.g. colour scheme, language), your learning progress, your statistics and your own questions are stored only locally on your device. This data does not leave the device and is synced via iCloud only if you have enabled that in the system settings.
The app contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking tools and no third-party software components that collect data.
Optional purchases (additional packs, question quota) are handled entirely through Apple’s App Store. Payment is processed by Apple; we receive no payment or credit-card data. Apple’s privacy policy applies.
Game Center is optional and can be turned off in the settings. When active, Apple processes leaderboards and achievements via Game Center under Apple’s terms. For child accounts we recommend leaving Game Center off.
Some questions offer a link to a source (e.g. Wikipedia or EUR-Lex). Such a link opens only after a confirmation and leads to the browser. The linked sites are subject to the privacy policies of their respective providers.
The app is designed for use by children and collects no data whatsoever from children. Purchases and opening external links are protected by a parental gate.
As we do not process any personal data about you, requests for access, rectification or erasure directed at us are generally moot. You can remove the locally stored data at any time yourself by deleting the app. For questions, reach us at the address above.
